GREAT NEWS! The Ryan Alumni Association is now recognized by the IRS as a
tax-exempt, non-profit charitable association. This means that donations
to the scholarship fund are tax deductible. We hope this will
stimulate more donations. When donations are made to the fund, the donor
will receive a written confirmation for tax purposes.
The Ryan Alumni Association Scholarships are awarded yearly to the college-bound
Valedictorian and Salutatorian of the graduating class.
2009 Scholarship recipients: Cherish Sheffield, Valedictorian, and
Dillon Martin, Salutatorian.
2010 Scholarship recipients: Colby Clay Barrett, Valedictorian, and Taylor Glen Johnson, Salutatorian.
2011 Scholarship recipients: Halie Morrison, Valedictorian, and Caleb Good, Salutatorian.
Donations to the fund have improved during the last four years and the
Association has been able to increase the amounts of these awards to more
meaningful levels. The 2011 awards were $1,000 and $750 to the
Valedictorian and Salutatorian, respectively. Plans are to increase the
awards once again for the 2012 recipients.
We are very pleased with the response we have received to our requests for
donations. We appreciate every donation, large and small. Every
