Ryan Alumni Association Meeting
May 16, 2011

Present:  Don Johnson, Connie Dillon, Paula Roark, Dru Harper, Sheila Underwood, Angela Sullivan, Carolyn Howard, Linda Cain, Carlie Southard and Loretta Corley

Vice President Don Johnson chaired the meeting in the absence of President Barabara Gillum.  He asked Loretta Corley to lead the discussion on the rough draft of the Reunion Invitation she brought to the meeting.  The invitations are projected to be mailed out around the first week of June.  Loretta estimates there will be 550 letters to mail, along with email invitations to those who have given us email addresses.

As it stand now there will be a mixer on Friday night, both before and after the home football game.  Royse Reagan has agreed to organize the Friday night events.

Angela Williams and Sheila Underwood will take care of ticket sales and dues collections at the door throughout the weekend.

There will be a breakfast at the Center on Saturday morning that Carolyn Howard will organize.  She will check with Walker Ryan to see if he will cook his chuck wagon breakfast, or if we will do an inside breakfast at the center.  The center will remain open all morning.

At 1:30 in the afternoon, activities will begin at the school building.  Connie Dillon is checking to see who we can engage as caterer.  Pernell Williams will be asked to coordinate set up and clean up at the school and perhaps come up with some prizes to be given out.  Others at the meeting were challenged to come up with prizes.

Entertainment at the banquet will be coordinated by Linda Cain.  It was also suggested that the recipients of this year's scholarships attend the banquet and express their appreciation.

When invitations are finalized and ready to be sent out, a number of people will be called to help fold, stuff, attach labels and seal.  Barbara Gillum will call additional meetings as the time approaches for final planning.

Meeting adjourned.

Respectfully submitted by Loretta Corley, Secretary/Treasurer
